This thought provoking Learning Board consists of a classification game asking children to identify human activities that are harmful to our earth (Sad Earth) and activities that are beneficial to our earth (Happy Earth). It is never too early to introduce children to the concept of caring for the environment. There are many ways play can help children love the world around them. For example, riding a bicycle would be a greener choice to travelling by motor car, using a recyclable paper bag would be preferable to using a plastic bag.
